Life after death

On the fine morning of 26th no one would have thought that the night would turn out to be the greatest nightmare……something that every Indian would like to erase from their minds, their life and their thoughts……..but the scars that this incident has left on the heart of India are such that they cannot be erased or overlooked by anyone(a diehard Indian by heart of course!!!!!!!).

Three days of agony, anger, fear, suspicion and hatred and then it was all over…..over with a relief and pride that we were once again proved mightier, stronger and braver than those monstrous(Actually I had some more indecent words to call but ………….)terrorists.And this was made possible by our brave soldiers who staked their life to prevent even a scratch on Mother India’s face. They went…… and left in our hearts due love, respect and pride for them.

After a day or a week or latest by a month we all would resume our lives but the real devastation has occurred in the kith and kins of the brave martyrs of this incident cos now they will have their dear ones only in their thoughts . Mr. Hemant Karkare,ACP Ashok Kamte,Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan……….the list is long and so is the tale of their bravery. Tears roll down from my eyes when I think of their life after all this is over………..now the sisters won’t have their brothers to tie rakhis, the mothers and fathers won’t have their sons to love, and children won’t have their fathers to bring gifts. I wish God had provided us an eraser to erase all that we didn’t like………….

The wounds of the family of these soldiers can never be healed……….it would only mitigate as the time passes…but would never be disappeared. And our government is very quick and sensitive you know!!!!!!!!No sooner does any brave soldier lose his life there is a shower of awards , honours and money on their family.

But this time the wife of Late Mr. Hemant Karkare refused to accept this money. Not only this but she also refused to meet any political leader and debarred them from paying homage to her husband………….BRAVO INDEED.She made the government feel that the sacrifice of her husband is “NOT FOR SALE”.I salute the pious and great feelings of that lady who is no less brave than her husband. She made her husband a real ‘martyr’. This is a lesson for the government to stop evaluating the sacrifices of its soldiers in terms of money.

Ratan Tata says thet the glory of the Taj Hotel would be re-established………but re-established for what???????? for another attack??? Or for few more scarifices ????? Because looking at the security concern of Indian leaders still now no soldier or officer would hope to come back when he goes for his mission……… the leades of India are only concerned of their votes , their position and their dignity. I even saw some of them canvassing themselves in the funerals of the soldiers!!!!!! WHAT A SHAME. Today we have no one to worry that how can we lessen the number of dying soldiers, how can we prevent women going widow and how can the children be prevented from becoming orphan. …………………..

That’s a big question that I usually wonder and I don’t know who would answer these………………but somebody has to……..somebody has to think above his votes above his dignity because unfortunately for us these leaders are the only ones who can solve these problems .As for us………..we have long way to go before we become a political leader and do something in this field……………
