Birthday rocked

Some incidents, some days, some adventures in life are meant not to be faded away from our minds. They remain as fresh as flowers through the years passing by. These memories keep cherishing you in your whole life. The last night was one such big thing for me that would occupy a special place in my mind throughout my life.

6th April.... a disastrous day for the world because it accreted the number of idiots in this world by one. Yes it was the day when i came to this world. In short and sweet language 6th April is my birthdayJ. Till last year I was not very influenced by the advent of this day. Usually took it as just a day when I become special for one day for my people around. But this year I don’t know why was I excited so much. As the hands of clock were approaching to strike 12 midnight my excitement was taking its pace. I was not in a mood to study (thought my exams days were just a few miles away).

As the clock struck 12 two phone calls (together) made their way. On landline and my cell there were my two best friends that life could ever give me. And this was their plan to wish me together and that too be the first ones to do that. They had already instructed me not to receive any calls before theirs. While talking to them simultaneously we all three were laughing more that saying anything. We were at the height of eccentricity I know. And believe me nothing had been so exciting and a lovelier feeling than talking to them and getting their wishes together. That time I realised how things and days get special when you have such good friends.

And despite our exams were a few days behind, forgetting all tensions and worries about exams we chatted for hours together planning as to where to go to celebrate the birthday. They made the day for me SPECIAL in fact VERY SPECIAL. A day I will never forget in my life. Probably that’s why despite knowing the fact that its my sessional viva after few hours from now I am writing this rather than studying to thank them and to tell them what they mean to me. God I think.... no I am sure, never again in my life will I get such MAD friends who seem to be excited even more than me for anything that relates me in any way. Thank you both of you for making the day so memorable for me that it became worth writing a post for me and become and integral part of my memory and my blog. This was the best birthday I had in my 21 years of life and no doubt it was you people that made it so.. Keep rocking my life and my birthday in the same way.

LOST........

This new poem of mine depicts the disappointment that gets associated with the failures in life.... My life is completely lost around me, is mist and frost. The life which once was bright is now just pale and white. Some challenges that I had to meet, some promises I needed to keep are now seeming too far away cos its my luck that has to play. Where CRY means smiles :)

It was the end of November and it was ‘that time’ of the year. Every year I would save up all my holidays for my annual visit to my home country, India. As expected, I had a full agenda during my visit. Meet all the relatives, eat street food everyday, attend a friend’s wedding and do lots of shopping, the regular roster. This year however, I had another item in my to-do list. Ever since I started working for CRY in Seattle and learnt that they have a project in my home state Chhattisgarh, I had made up my mind to visit the project, the next time I went to India and now was the time.
